Tips Recording

Home Sweet Studio: Recording Etiquette

Making an artist comfortable during a recording session can be just as important as where you put the microphones. In this edition of Tips & Tricks, Lee Peterzell, a Grammy award-winning recording engineer with over 30 years of experience, weighs in on the subject of studio etiquette by lending tried and true strategies for helping an artist give their best performance and making a session run smoothly.

Lee is an accomplished engineer and co-producer who has worked with Neil Young, Kansas, Tim McGraw, and The Allman Brothers Band, and he currently presides over the Session Recording course at Full Sail Real World Education, an Orlando-based entertainment technology and media production school.
